Comfort and Redemption

 • Dr. Aaron Hembree • Series: Isaiah: The Fifth Gospel

Isaiah 40 is a mountaintop passage, quoted by Peter, John, and every Gospel writer in the New Testament. It is meant as a source of encouragement and comfort. The source of comfort is not what is expected—we are comforted by glory. The glory of redemption, the glory of the Son of God, the glory of the Word of God, the glory of each person of the Trinity, and finally the glory of his mercy and grace.
